Disbelief, Disruption, Differentiation: The Triple D

Disbelief, Disruption, Differentiation: The Triple D

Our recent posts have highlighted our patented AI capabilities across discovery, risk intelligence, and product action sets. And while we are proud of those accomplishments, what keeps coming up in conversations with customers and prospects is something broader. It is the overall experience of working with our platform and our team.

I keep hearing the same three things. First, they do not believe what the platform can do. Then it changes how they operate. Then they realize nothing else compares. We have started calling this the Triple D: Disbelief, Disruption, and Differentiation.

No, not that Triple D!

Disbelief

"I thought what they were telling me was impossible."

That is BJ Gray, Director of Network Security at Indian Prairie School District 204, describing his first reaction to our platform. And he is not alone. We hear this consistently from customers and partners. The disbelief is real.

Our agentless discovery sees everything on the network, including OT and IoT. IT and security teams we work with often need a moment to digest that this is in fact possible. It is. Our risk scoring combines critical converged risk analytics that would otherwise require up to five separate products, and even then would not deliver a true integrated view.

Install takes minutes. Over 300 product integrations are available out of the box. Log data is available at your fingertips without custom coding. Alerts and detections are accessible in an easy-to-use interface, not the black box approach of many vendors. When customers start working with us, every step of the way offers positive surprises about how simply and powerfully our solutions make a difference.

As one IT leader put it: "We don't just need tools; we need visibility and that's where UncommonX comes in. One of the most valuable aspects of UncommonX is how well the platform consolidates everything in a single view to help us understand our environment."

Disruption

Once the disbelief fades, something more significant happens. Customers start rethinking how they operate.

One customer described it this way: "We pay all this money to other companies, but none of those platforms play as well with other tools as UncommonX. We have decided to move forward with UncommonX and get rid of other tools."

That is disruption in its most practical form. Not a marketing claim. A customer who evaluated their entire stack and consolidated. When we set out to build this platform, our goal was to break down the barriers and build a true risk intelligence platform. "See everything" is not just a slogan. It is a foundationally different approach to discovery and risk ratings.

This approach is disruptive to the cybersecurity vendors that focus on only one element of a system, or the larger vendors that claim to offer Exposure Management but really offer an optimized version of their own products with expensive or nonexistent connections to everything else.

Our log management capabilities rival and exceed many SIEMs. We collect the data and share it with our customers throughout the user interface. No guessing. No custom configurations. No consultants needed to build queries and dashboards.

Differentiation

Disbelief turns to disruption. Disruption turns to lasting value. And that is where differentiation lives.

"UncommonX comes in alongside us and functions as an extension of our team. Every time we add anything that is possible to monitor, UncommonX immediately brings that into the collection of information to ingest, analyze, and take action if necessary. Their team is super responsive and knowledgeable."

Most cybersecurity customers today are seeking three things. They want to reduce the workload and impact on their resources. They are not interested in installing and maintaining agents, writing custom scripts, or paying for integrations. They want visibility and analysis in an easy-to-understand interface, with reports and a support team that helps them reduce blind spots and access actionable data. And they want to support their budget goals, because cybersecurity spending has outstripped its return on investment for too many organizations.

These are the differentiators our customers point to. Our agentless discovery and out-of-the-box integration of 300+ products distinguish our offer from any other platform in the Exposure Management or XDR space. Our ability to truly see everything, from IT, OT, and IoT to cloud environments and SaaS applications, provides a data-driven view of every connection and device on a network.

And on budget, our pricing is based on endpoints or users, not on integrations, storage, or applications in use. We include the capabilities of a SIEM, built-in vulnerability management, risk and compliance reporting, and a 24/7 SOC that provides both security coverage and strategic IT support. With our AI capabilities compounding the already excellent and patented functionality, these differentiators deliver a multiplying effect: better security, better operations, better budgets.

What This Means for Security Leaders

For CTOs, CIOs, CISOs, and security teams, these are not marketing themes. They are the words of the people who use our platform every day. The journey from disbelief to disruption to differentiation is one we see play out with every new customer. And it consistently leads to the same place: stronger protection, simpler operations, and a strategic partner in building a resilient IT environment.

As one customer summarized: "UncommonX is a true partner to our IT and Security Operations. We rely on their platform to see everything in our environment, orchestrate our IT strategy, and create a more secure and resilient network."

We are grateful to every customer who has shared their experience with us. These relationships are the foundation of everything we build, and we do not take them for granted. Our customers push us to be better, and their success is what drives our innovation.
